Well, I was once told that a lathe is the only tool that can reproduce itself, but duck tape and a pocket knife are handier I suppose.

My dad told me that a man ought to have two things: a pocket knife and a watch. (I guess that's so you know what time that you cut yourself)

I think what Eric meant is Profanity Masking is just as bad as posting profanity on FTE.

So refrain from posting any type of profanity including the masked variety

Duct tape and bailing wire. The 2 best friends a DIY'er could have!
YES! Our FFA barn is basically built out of duct tape and bailing wire, or at least held standing by it.

I wrap duct tape around my hand sticky-side-out to get the cat hair off my computer chair (her favorite place to nap).

I've always read that the plow was the greatest tool ever made--turned civilization from roamers to planters. I always keep a couple rolls of duct tape around, and use it alot, but must agree with the last lines of the original post that it dries out and loses its stickiness, and then is a real pain to remove.

Here is a good example of a creative use for duct tape, and some major stupidity as well. That would also be a good idea for another thread, "What are some creative uses you have for duct tape?" I used to have a neighbor with a prostetic leg and he used duct tape to hold one of the joints togather on his leg while waiting on his new one to finish being made.

Awesome Pic bigdaddyII.

Known in NASCAR as '200MPH Tape', except theirs come in vibrant colors.

Very Well! I needed to drive to Florida 9 hours each way. I just wanted to improve the aerodynamics a tad. It did come loose on a couple of strips down low but I attribute that to dirt on the bumper facia. Checking the oil was a little difficult but, it 'Got-R-Dun!'
