got a few different issues. need help from the pros
First off, my abs light came on the other night. today I changed the sensor in the diff. problem not fixed. master cylinder is full. what else makes these things stay lit. everything feels normal. Also, I did my 4inch exhaust today and straight piped it. 4 INCH FROM TURBO BACK. I did the quik mod 6637 too. I am running jodys chip. It seems like I lost some bottom end grunt.Before this I was running napa gold filter with stock box and stock exhaust with adapters to a 4 inch magnaflow. Is it because i have no backpressurre now? The truck seems to really smoke more now too. It clears when the rps go up but I dont feel the powerband I had before. Turbo looked good too.

your abs light could be front wheel speed sensor if it 4wabs. could be a computer issue, could be abs valve issue, could be a wiring issue, could be about everything else even you new sensor at the rear (bad out of the box). any time there is a light on the dash it will tell you where to start looking if you have it scanned.

I was having intermittant ABS lights, too. Wasn't VSS. As TJ said, it could be sensor if you have 4-wheel ABS.
Jack up your front end, getting the tire off the ground.
Placing your hands at the top and bottom of the tire, try to "rock" the tire.
Repeat on the other side.
If one's loose, you likely need a replacement hub assembly.
Did one of mine yesterday for this very reason.

"Friendly" deal was $285, but got it for $249. About three hours, just putzin'.
Wait a minute! Your profile says you've got an '87 250. Is this the truck we're talking about? If so, you don't have the sealed hubs at all.

brake pads/warped rotors can also do it, if you or anybody did brakes recently check them again. this happened to my work truck last year.

So, what happened when you jacked up the front end and checked for play in the bearings. Was one bearing noticably loose?

Left front didnt wiggle but spun the wheels and the bearing sounded dry. Changed out the hub and problem solved. I bought two so I am gonna change the right side too. It probably isnt far behind
