Would you use

If I were to tell you that Bio-Diesel made with (SVO-VVO) Virgin Vegetable OIL would only cost you 10 cent more that Regular Diesel, Would you use it?

If I could find a place within a reasonable driving distance to buy it. I rent so can't make it myself.

MobeyDick, I have Bio-diesel available just ten minutes drive from my house.
The cheapest Dino-d that I can find is $2.75 right now.
The Bio-d cost $3.06. I chose to fill up with Bio and don't regret the extra cost.
I have several reasons.
The number 1 reason. It supports the US economy. As little $$$ as possible goes to Bin Laden and his cronies. I realize that the crop to make the stuff is fertilized and that fertilizer is made from crude oil products. BTW I voted for President Bush and would vote for him again. That's all I am going to say.
2. Excellent injector lubrication.
3. Smells great coming out of the exhaust.
4. A lot less smoke. IMO the earth is a lot more resiliant than the environmentalists would like to admit. OTOH I don't want to spoil things for my kids. If I run with B-50 most of the soot dissappears from the inside of my tailpipe and I can see the steel without having to wipe of the black smear.

If Diesel in your area is say, $2.49.9 and you have a Sams Wholesale Club within Driving Distance you can make it happen.

32 Gallons of Diesel @ $2.49.9 = $79.97
8 Gallons of 100% Soybean Oil @ $2.88 = $23.04
$103.01 for 40 Gallons

40 Gallons of That mixture would average $2.57.5 per gallon!!

BTW: the higher the price of the Diesel the closer the average cost!!

That is really only 7.6 cent Higher!!

The less money going to Arabs and Oil Companys the better, I say!!

BTW: As a Proud Southerner, Registered Republican I'm Very Happy and Proud to say I didn't Vote either time for that Carpet Bagging Chimp!! It took him 4 years after September 11, 2001 to figure out that our dependence on Oil was our biggest National Security Threat!! Jimmy Carter told us that, 35 years ago!!!!!!

A one Cent Per Gallon, Per month on all fuel made from Petroleum (No matter what it is used for Trains, Planes Trucks or Home Heating Oil) would cure most if not all our problems with our dependence on OIL!! It would take years to affect the real price of Oil on the high side. That would give our Auto makers time to develop the next Generation of Fuel. It would also drive down demand and make a glut of oil on the market in a short time One year or so!!

I burn about 4,500 gallons of Diesel a year so it would really affect me. I would gladly pay that price to keep from having our military in Harms way!!
