Could someone please email me a measured drawing of the piece that mounts to the door jamb that holds the dome light switch. Basically the mounting plate for it.

I got switches, installed them by drilling a hole and notching it, then surprise surprise! They are not long enough to contact the door though they hook up to the harness just fine.
So, that big round hole in the pillar is meant for some sort of plate that pushes the switch closer to the door?

Thank you both very much. My FTE sub. has paid for itself again! I guess my door was so butchered, my best guess was not too good. Time to weld up some holes

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-Jan-03 AT 00:10 AM (EST)]Hey, I was at the local junkyard yesterday and saw at least 3 pairs. If you want, drop me a line and I will go back next weekend and get em for you. I am sure they don't want much for them. If I recall correctly two of them had the switches still in them too. Just let me know. BTW, I scored on a damn-near pristine headliner for $6.00!!! Catalogs want over $100 for them! I was planning on covering it with the same fabric I did my door panels with, but maybe I should put that one on E-bay and go get the other one I saw that wasn't as nice! They had a '70 F-250 with factory disk brakes too! Darn, I wish I had the money for those parts!!!!
