Anything is possible with enough $$$. I have seen a 5.9L 24v Cummins Diesel in an 1978 F250 4x4. So...I think if you had the patience...and the cash...go for it. Post pictures!

Yea, it's possible, but it would take some serious JACK to convert it...I would say somewhere around $10K to $12K, depending on the setup.
Biz, isn't there a guy in the Classified section that's got one for sale? Might be where I heard that money issue...?

The easiest way would be to find a donor truck with all the parts needed. That would help reduce the cost, but still going to be expensive! Ouch...

Cool web site. Yea it's a start. MMMM. Only about $12k-$15k to do a conversion. Not bad. But they are in MT. I'm not much of a gearhead and wouldn't feel comfortable doing this type of job. I'd have to ship (or drive) the truck out there from NJ.
