Can anyone tell me if there is a different Bulb/headlight that would be brighter than the factory headlight on my F250? I owned a 2004 chevy before buy my 2006 Superduty and it had much brighter headlights than the Ford. Thanks in advance.
The new super duties has a 9008 bulb and there are no options yet. The silverstars won't work with the wiring harness. I think a bright box is the only option right now. My 05 has weaker lights than my old 98 chev did.
I think it's spelled Brite Box. I bought mine from Geno's Garage online. There are MUCH cheaper ways to do the same thing if you have the time and electrical ability. It allows the fogs to come on when the brights are on. If you put 2007's (I think) in the fog lights, you'll get an amazing increase in lighting out front. The Brite Box with fog light option is about $100 but if you search this forum, you'll find plans to do it for a few bucks and some of your time.
Check the Super Duty forum. There is an on-going thread about brighter headlights for the '05s. I jsut ordered a 9008 heavy duty harness from GOS racing ($58) and some upgraded H13 bulbs from automotivelightingusa ($65). More then I was lookin to pay but really the only option if you really want upgrades. They also have an H13 HID kit but you lose your high beams with it. Like I said, go check out the Super Duty forum.
