coutesy lights not working???

Hey. The courtesy/map light on the headliner is not working...i've replaced the bulbs but still no light. How do i test for a bad courtesy/map light?

What year truck? If this is a later truck that does not have the pin switches in the door jamb, it could be the switches need lubed with wd40 in the latch.

Will the dome light come on if you twist the headlight **** all the way?

yes.And by the way...only the map lights dont work(i wasn't thinking)

First, check all fuses. I do not know if your truck has an underhood fuse box too, but check to make sure the fuses in it are good too if you do have one.

One other possiblity happened to my truck. The wiring for this circuit runs underneath the driver's side rocker sill plate, and then runs up the driver's side rear cab corner. On my truck I had water problems in that area, and I had some wires in this harness near the floor that were corroded.
