Yes, it`s alot of work and very invovled depending on how bad the rust is. Mine had to come off the frame and be put on a rotissery to be able to work on it properly.

This was on my 56 Mercury M100, it was the inside and outside of the 4 cabcorners that needed replacing completely. Only the driver`s front cab mount had to be repaired, the others were ok.
I bought new outer cab corners and the bodyman made the inner repair pieces and the cab mount repairs.
You have a nice gallery on the neat 66 with the F350 4X4 frame, sounds like a great project. Looks like a you have nice garage to work in.

Nothing fancy, but it sure beats the heck out of working on your back in a snow bank lol. I have a pit as well as an overhead hoist . And the best thing of all is the carpetting on the floor hahaha. Can't afford cement yet as the wife wants to add on to the house sighhh. I also have a double 45 gal barrel wood stove for heat. Thanks for the compliment on the truck .as soon as i seen it i had to have it lol.

Carpet is an excellent idea, I use it in my cold storage garages and it`s so much nicer than a gravel floor.

Those double barrel drum stoves work really well. My uncle has one in his shop and they heat up so nice.

Just got to be extra carefull with spills and when your welding lol. When i pull engines from vehicles i plug the ends of the rad hoses with 1 1/4'' pipe end caps. Keeps all the fluids from getting on the carpet. The other good thing is there is allways someone changing the carpets in their house and you get it for free. When the old carpet in the shop gets too dirty I just put in another one . I haven't had to change it yet and the carpeting probably 10 years old allready. On the bad side, hard to roll heavy engine stands on a carpeted floor with sand beneath it lolol. I was thinking of putting an I-beam across the top plate of the walls to move heavy things around.

Sounds cool. Sometimes carpet would be a dream to work on!
