Yea no problem Foxracer!! A little side tip - make sure you have a breaker-bar on hand! My impact gun would not BUDGE the U-bolt nuts - had to put a pipe on my breaker bar to get them loosened!!
Yea I was already figuring on re-doing my wiring with some plugs - I did that wiring a long time ago and wasn't smart enough to figure out that I MAY just want to remove the bumper some day!
How do you think this lift from rough country compares to superlifts 2" leveling kit. I like the 5 springs progressive. I want to level but either keep the same ride or better yet make it better. The rough country is about 1/2 the superlift. Both come with shocks.
this is defanitely worth the price. however i am changing to bilsteins soon. not that i dont like these shocks, it's just that i want new ones for the back. the ride is firmer then stock, but not harder. it's not bouncy and springy like the stock leaves. they also flex more. (how much flexing are you doing with a 172" wheelbase )
Geez! thanks! I am assuming you were able to use the stock u-bolts for the install.
Use stock u-bolts for add-a-leaf, any more than that you will need longer u-bolts. I didn't have any trouble getting mine loose, just soaked with penatrating oil before starting.
i have a Rough Country leveling kit. it is a high quality kit with complete new leaf packs that have 5 new thinner leaves, that make a more progressive and smoother ride. it also contained new shocks. i have some after and before pics, if anyone wants them.
I would be interested in seeing the before and after shots
thanks
I put a shackle lift on mine. Maybe not the right way to do it but cost 70 bucks and my bfg 295/75/16 a/t still look very good with 20000 miles on them.
I installed 2.5" level kit from Tuff Country and love it. Truck sits perfectly level. It has a truck ride, but thats what I bought, a truck. If I wanted a smoother ride I would have bought a Lincolin! Now, just need air bags for the rear (towing).
strokin_it7.3 what kit did you use? It looks great!
thanks. the kit is a Rough Country, it is about $320 shipped (i got mine on ebay) and it includes all new leaf packs and shocks. best way to go. look for the ebay hyperlink in the first or second page, by Cat_man_963.
My add-a-leafs finally arrived!! But I will be unable to put them on for two weeks, with college starting back up, but I will also have 285 pro comps to go with them! i will take before and after pics!
i went with the all terrains, due to the massive amount of highway driving I do. I almost bought mud terrains for like $4.00 more a tire, but the 50,000 mile warranty on the all terrains was appealing! Only $545.00 delivered to my house!
