Head light switch

How do I remove the **** from the head light swtitch on my 1995 F250 7.3 Liter Diesel

You have to use something small like a metal coat hanger and stick it in the slot that is on the backside of the switch head. Make the hanger into a hook and wiggle it around. Then it should just pop out.

The official tool is j hook removal tool. Though I have not been able to find one. So the coat hanger works out pretty well.

Wish I would have asked this question here before I broke the ****, lol. $2 at the local junk yard, but $10 in gas to get there.

Thanks for the response. The coat hanger did the trick. Like anything else, once you get the thing apart, it’s as clear as a bell. If you place the hook, on the end of the part that shows, in the slot in the ****, and pull towards the rear of the truck, off she comes.
