It's a cleaned up version of "MySpace" but you can only join if you have a high school or college email address. It cuts out a lot of the spam type accounts which are pretty rampant on myspace and eliminates the ability to "customize" your profile like you can in myspace... making one have a seizure due to the crazy color schemes, blinking images etc etc.
