Unhappy Info on blown plugs

I have 1999 F250 SD crew cab with the 6.8L V10. It is a 2WD with approx 85K on the odometer. It is primarily used to pull out 5th wheel in the summer. THe truck has been fabulous for our family never letting us down while delivering excellent performance over 3,000+ mile trips each of the last four summers. I intend to keep right on driving it pulling out 8,000lb RV but I'm starting to get a little worried about this plug blowing issue. Is it inevitable for me? What should/can I do now to avoid it? I have always babied this truck with oil changes, filter, tranny flushes, fluids etc. I can't afford new and want to keep on going. Any advice? You guys are the experts!!!!

Is it inevitable? No. Step to take to minimize your risk? Checking the torque specs on the plugs and make sure they are correctly torqued. Loose plugs seem to be the ones blowing. If you get them changed, make sure they are torqued and then recheck them in a few thousand miles and a few heat cycles.

Good Luck

At 85k I would change the plugs. If you do it yourself ask B4 you do and someone will tell you how and what to watch for. Use the plugs that are in it now and use a little never sieze and torque each one carefully. Thats what I did and have had no issues.
