1966 Wheel Horse Tractor

Hi all! I'm looking for ANY info I can find on 1966 Wheel Horse tractors/riding lawn mowers. A friend of mine is looking at buying one and we're trying to find out anything and everything we can about them. I've got the model & serial number, but so far haven't found anything.

Does anyone know of good info sources or forums on the subject?

Thanks!

I don't have much information for ya, but I know those are great tractors. My dad, grandpa, and greatgrandpa have always owned Wheel horses, only thing I've ever mowed on, at home at least. We had one from about that same time, 2 of em actually. Probably from the early 70's, and we mowed with it up until we finally got a new Wheel Horse about 5 years ago. Only a 15 horse, but it had power. I wanna say it had a 3 speed tranny with hi-med-low rear end gears too.

Tell him to buy it. Most of them have Kohler engines, for which parts are readily available. The Wheel Horse parts supply chain is still very intact, despite being bought by Toro. The Wheel Horse is a very durable tractor-I have one and it is unstoppable when plowing snow or hauling firewood to the porch.
I don't use it to mow, that is what 15 year old boys and non sel-propelled pushmowers are for. My son will learn to appreciate the hard work one day!
