Having just purchased a used Explorer with a beatup steering wheel whose packing and covering or lack of it is a problem. Is it possible to have someone rebuild the wheel by having it repacked and covered or easier / cheaper to replace it. ????
I'd just get a good looking grant steering wheel.
You can get some of them for under 50 bucks...
Like the one I have in my 66 F-100
But im not sure how good that particular one would look in an explorer.
Repacking it would proboally cost quite a bit, Id go to a junkyard, or buy a grant or aftermarket wheel personally.
Good luck
Oh.... I forgot about airbag...
Hrm, I dont think you can put an airbag in aftermarket steering wheel.
I don't like airbags personally, due to personal matters
But if I was you, Id just remove it and the airbag, and put in an aftermarket wheel if it wont mess with the computer on the vehicle
