Talking HIGHLY recommend Hawk/Powerslots

I have had my Powerslot rotors, and Hawk brake pads on for a week now - and WOW!! What a difference - the stopping difference is night and day!! My rig stops WAY better - and I could only afford the fronts for now, though I definitely plan on getting them for the back, when my checking account recovers from the last month-of-mods!!

My front rotors were warped pretty bad - and after reading about this combo a lot here on FTE - I decided to give 'em a whirl. AWESOME - they are... like a chip for the brakes!! I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!!

Sounds awesome Cat So what did this setup cost you. Definitly will be my next choice when I do my brakes. Brakes are important.. Did you haqve somebody put them on or did you do it yourself? If so was it hard to do? As usual your truck rocks with all your mods. Any other mods you are planning for your truck?

I actually got them from my local Napa!! One of my "diesel buddies" works there (he's a Dodge guy ) and gave me a really good deal on them!!

The total was $315 for the 2 rotors, and the pads!! I did them myself - it was not hard at all! I do pretty much all the work on my rig - I don't trust others with my truck!!

O yea - I've got a whole list of "other mods" I just need 2 of me to earn the money to PAY for them!!

Yea that was the breaking point - I really hadn't done much of anything to my truck for a year or more, before I did the turbo. Dropping $2000 (turbo, power outlet, and the new pedistal, etc.) on one mod makes it real easy to blow $300 here, and $400 there!! The "mod" list gets additions MUCH faster then they are checked off

I'm just waiting for my last tax return check to come in - and I'll be dropping it on a BTS valve body, DP Tuner chip, and TruCool.... and most likely Hawks and Powerslots for the rear too

My front springs, AND add-a-leaves are WAY sagging - and really starting to ride like crappola.... so that is a good excuse for "new springs"!! I'm really thinking about a 4-6" lift....

ALSO... with all this 5" exhaust talk - I've got pipe-size envy, and am seriously considering starting completely over and going with all 5" piping after the down-pipe, and then 6" stacks, in the search for a bad-a$$ exhaust note...

the list goes on...and on...and on!! Topping the list right now though...I may just be getting my hands on a...uhh... "spare" motor to.... have "ready" just in case of severe "PMS".....

Great to be able to stop now. I put them on mine about a year ago cause I was tierd of the shimmy shakes every time I hit the brakes. Got mine through a 4WD co, $456 fronts and rears with the Hawk Pads. Not sorry yet. They do really make a difference.

I'm going to be in that boat pretty soon. I got the quote from "oh-rye-lees" but I am not sure I want to use those rotors and pads. Can you guys recommend a good place to get the rotors and pads from?

I found a guy in the OC in CA that sells the drilled and slotted ones for around $300 for front and rear. Says they have never had a problem with cracking or warping. Try him at www.ROTORPROS.COM. LPR

Wonder if that price is for each or for the pair. $225 for the front rotors, pads, and hardware would be a great deal.
