Hard start on engine

Hard start on engine
Truck was running great Friday night. Drove it into town on a date with the wife. Tried to start on Saturday morning and it just wanted to turn over. No start. Tried for about 2-3 minutes so I wouldn't lose the batteries. On next to last crank ( just before it started ) I hear this sound from the exhaust that souned like the truck hiccuped 
and then she fired right up. Truck ran great the rest of the day. Any thoughts? Just a hiccup or something more sinister?
