Hello I have a friend that is selling a 1972 250 long bed with a 390 and 4.10's manual shift 4 speed with a 4 barrel carb and locking hubs for $1400.00 The only thing it needs is a steering box because there is a lot of play in the steering , and also exhaust and there is no rust is that to much or is that a good price for it. Also what kind of gas mileage woluld I get on the highway.........Thank you in advance
Welcome to FTE!
Hard to say without actually seeing it. If it's in good shape, runs good, and doesn't leak too much, then it could be worth that or more.
As far as mileage, all I can say is that nobody buys a 390 for economy. You'ld be lucky to see 12 out of it.

Why don't you ask your friend what kind og gas milage he gets with it now. None of us have driven the truck and don't know. I would suspect 6-8 mpg. IMHO
