Spark Plug Starter

Hey folks. I made a spark plug installer tool from an old Toyota spark plug wire end. The hard end made of plastic is cut from the wire, leave about two inches of wire on the other end. Now take a GM HEI plug boot and attach it to the wire that was left, all the way, but leave about one inch of wire showing. The hard plastic end gives a good feel for the plug, and the flex of the wire end helps prevent cross threading the plug. The plastic part is about 5-6 inches long to reach into the valve cover to the plug. I knew there was a use for GM. It worked well on a 01 f-150 4.6 4x4XLT. I just love to change these plugs

Reach into the valve cover? Man, not all of us have Boss 429's, you know!

Hey Trinogt, Have you ever seen anything nicer, than the words Boss 429. I wish I had a Boss 429 in my stang. I just made the tool from a plug wire from a 91 2.0 Toyota, and a plug boot from a HEI Wire set for a 78 Pontiac.

Ahhh... The sweet, sweet Boss 429... I would put one in every Ford I have if it were possible! There is a Mustang owned locally (project) with the Boss in it. I think the price was $30,000 CAD or something... Why he would sell it, who knows!
Hey, my father in law has the name David Powell! Pretty cool, huh?
He's from New Orleans.
What year Mustang you have?
