My 85 6.9 turbo diesel truck recently started acting up. If your sitting at an idle in park and you mash down on the throttle and quickly let off the engine will hesatate real bad and sometimes die. I just recently put a new fuel delivery pump on it changed my filters and it still didn't help it any. I thought it could be a bad govner in the ip pump. I called Ken at DPS and sent me a new one. It is still acting up. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Don't think the 6.9 engine or turbo could spool up fast enough to compensate for that move.... as it is not a normal thing to do, that would be my best guess.
When I first bought the truck a year ago it did fine. Up into about a couple weeks ago it started acting up. When it started acting up I ordered an ip pump, the time the pump arrived it was back to the way it normally run. I went ahead and put the ip pump on because I got a turbo calibrated ip pump from DPS. After I installed it the truck started acting up again. Everything is in time. I can drive it and does not act up. It only does when your sitting still and rev on it and just let off. If you mash it down and slowly bring it back to an idle it won't hesatate or die.
After I put the new ip pump on it, it blows alot of black smoke only if you mash it all the way down. The truck only has 112,000 miles on it. My opinion that is just breaking in for a diesel.
