Thinking of selling my truck. I am just curious what would be a fair price for it. The rear end has a ladder bar set up and has been bagged. The whole thing has been lowered 6-4 (rear-front). The rear end has also been splined. The front end has all been rebuilt. The motor is a 390 bored over to a 396 and has been ported and polished and balanced. The paint was done 6 years ago and the passenger door has some rust. The floor pan has been treated and I put fiberglass down but for it to be done right it really needs to be replaced. The bed really needs to be sprayed with a line X or equivelant. The heater core has gone bad on it and needs replaced also. I think this is about it. Also any pointers that you think I should do that would help me get more out of it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and you guys are always so much help.
Thanks for all the input. I am not looking to hold anyone to the price. Just some ideas but it seems like everyone here is afraid if I don't get what you said then I will take you to court over it. I am just looking for a little feed back. That is all. Like "I had a buddy that had one like that and he got 5000", or it looks nice I don't think 8000 is unreasonable. I know you are not here and can not see the flaws but you guys do know these trucks and have a pretty good idea what would be fair. Thanks for your time.
dropped74 - up here in B.C we have a little rag called "BuySell". It comes out once a week and nearly always has several 70s F series Fords for sale. As you can imagine, the prices vary from hundreds to thousands. My experience with selling older vehicles is that the first half dozen guys tell you the truck is a piece of junk but they'll help you out by taking it off your hands for $100 or $500. It's best to wait for the right customer - when he comes along, you'll get a fair price (whatever that is). From the pics in your gallery, she looks very pretty and in good shape...good luck!
