Well, back in December I ordered a 2006 F250 Lariat 4X4 CC SB , PSD, automatic. It came in two days ago. Here is some info for those of you looking or about to buy. Pricing was as follows: MSRP $50,250, paid $41,000 which includes a $900 D&D to Alaska and $3,000 in factory rebates. Pretty much loaded it, major options: moonroof, power rear window, 20" wheels, FX-4, Tow Command, limited slip, tow-tone, reverse-aid sensor, shift on the fly, and many more little ones. Some initial observations:
Truck does have the the block heater installed and the cord routed to the front ready to use.
Although, I've spotted several of the new trucks on the dealers lot with oil hanging from the tranny bellhousing, mine is bone dry (fingers crossed).
At the hundred mile mark my lie-o-meter is showing about 11.5 mpg and is steadily rising from an initial 6.1. It has been cold started at about zero degrees F on the two mornings I've had it. Should be much better than the 9-10 I got with my previous V-10s. I'll verify the mileage at my first refill-up.
The truck drives and rides better than I expected. Turning radius is much tighter than the 2 other SD250's I have had, 1999 and 2005. Doesn't feel as strong as the V-10s though. Although I expect this will change with some break-in and when I drive it harder. It's a little noisier than I expected it would be. Overall, I'm extremely pleased....great looking truck, nice fit and finish, comfortable, and hopefully reliable.
congrats on new truck , sounds like you paid to much i only paid 36000 for my 350.... but congrats any way i have almost all the options you have , enjoy it your gonna love it!!!!!

Hmmm, must be a bout $5K worth of options you din't get =) $36K really, is that all in. Is yours a Lariat CC, 4WD, PSD, and auto? If so great deal you made. I actually got mine on an X-plan deal through a family member so I wasn't going to get a better deal than that. What was your MSRP?
BTW, just took the wife for her first ride in it. She likes that she can sit right against me while we drive......me too! Later.
