Black bumpers to match the black running boards and black mirrors, or course! Clear lenses.

Do what you want it is your truck. Actually, if you're going to go shiny I'd go stainless.

Black bumpers and clear lenses, If I were modding for show, with plenty of money for lots of shiny stuff, then I would go stainless everywhere that I could.

Thanks guys! This is not for my truck, I've just heard several people and friends going back and forth on which is better. I kinda like that railroad tie and red tape method Fatfenders mentioned. Definitely a custom look. LOL....
I prefer the chrome bumpers, actually no bumpers, and I'm going with clear, but Foose's 56 looks mighty nice with the amber lenses.

A guy has a big canoe paddle for a bumper on his mid-fifties ford up in Ely MN. I laugh every time I see it.

I like clear lens and a chrome bumper, Stainless is really expensive and if it is scratched it will also rust in that spot. A good quality chromed bumper should last a good bit of time.

S.S. is the way to go, it IS the most maintenance free and you can change to satin after making repairs if needed or just polish without need for replating. Chrome is getting silly with all the new EPA laws, it just is not cheaper anymore. SS can be repaired at home. Lens depends on paint color, bulb color, and how well do you want it to be seen. I like clear with amber bulbs.

Polished SS and amber. Stainless is forever... and amber signal lights are much more easily seen than clear.
