429 help?

Good morning
I am new here. I just bought a 429 to replace my 400 in a 78 f150 4x4. I'm looking for some info on the heads. One is a DOVE-C, the other is CV8E-E. They look to be the same, and I found a chart that says they have the same combustion chamber size. Will they work together? What's the difference? The block is DIVE 6015A. The pistons have an oval dish, and B-734 number on the inside of them. I don't have the crank in front of me, I left it at the machine shop and forgot to get # off it. The shop owner said it was a 429. Any help greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site.

Because this is an engine question you need to be in the 385 engine series forum where questions on the 429 are answered
