What happened to the Tech Article Whiter Whites, Brighter Brites? I click on it and get a message it can't be found.
Secondly, I have been reading similar info from other sources. One source says power the relays from the Batery. Other says power them from the Charging post of the Alt. Which way is better and why?
Here is a good drawing of a wiring system for headlights... Its a `work in progress` web site.. If you use the link from `stockman`(my posting >https://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/61_79/4433.html <) for the wording/how to do it.and use this link
>> http://home.gci.net/~bronco78/relay/sld001.htm <<
as a diagram you will be close...
`Bronco78` is trying to recreate the steve delanty article and hopefully he will post it on the tech articles here

Thanks for looking up that old thread. After reading through it, I still didn't see the answer to my second question in my origional post; which is: Is it better to power the relays from the charging post off the alt. or from the battery and why? I have seen descriptions using both mehtods.
I used the `post on the starter relay (Bat hot side) just to keep things clean and near the relays. I can pull the battery without having extra things attached to the battery posts.
My Alternator wiring is really tight next to the head surface and did not want to add on anything there.

Just purchase a pair of halogen sealed beams from the auto parts store. These are 3 times brighter than the stock units and cost less than $20 buck each. There is no way you can rewire your systen to get your stock lights to put out even 1/2 as much light as the halogens, and it will cost about the same either way.
Al what you say if I told you that it makes the Halogens brighter. The deal is, that it puts more current to the bulbs, that otherwise gets sucked out in the rest of the system. :-)

What ended up happening to the article? Was it just lost? If so, I saved the article in HTML version, I have all the pictures, diagrams, and everything if that is all that is needed to get is posted back to the net. I also have the On-board Air article. If Ken would like me to email the articles to him, just let me know.
Matt, I think I read somewhewre that the .com that the articles were linked from went belly up, and I believe Ken stated that he was working on some kind of resolve, but haven't seen an update in a few days.
Do you have Kens address?
I would be pleased to have the articles in that format if you would send them to me at the address below.

If yall want, you can send me the HTML version and all the pics and I can put that article up on my site, just give me a holler. I would personaly hook the relays to the starter solenoid simply because it will be better looking, you wont get the corrosion you will get on the battery post and thats where all of the other stuff is hooked because the wire from the battery is plenty big enough to power it.

The article is protected by copyright. I can't give you legal advice, but to my knowledge, permission had only been granted to FTE to post the article. The fact that the author's web server went under does not vitiate the copyright issues. It may be plausible to post it provided you extend full credits to the author; perhaps then you won't be subjected to legal action. As I have stated before on this topic, Ken is working on a solution. Patient might be the more prudent avenue.

Thom, a friendly question, how do you know the articles are copyrighted, I didn't see anything stating so? I have also seen the article posted elsewhere. :-)
