I am not positive, BIG66, but I thought the Highboys used a different width frame? Hopefully we will get a guru in on this or someone with experience. You might hunt down FordBoypete and send him a private message, he has a 460 in his slick. Banjopicker also has a 460 installed in his Slick.

Get your info here only, if you want it to work.

If the block mounting holes on your 429 are the same as a later 460, then your 429 will bolt up to your '66 just like a 460. I put an '86 460 into my '66, using '77 F-250 (2WD) perches.
The 460 frame perches are unique, and fit no other engine family, e.g., Windsor, 335, FE etc. They are 3-piece, and are cross bolted to prevent the engine from rolling under extreme torque. One piece bolts to the block, the other bolts to the frame, and the middle piece is the rubber motor mount.
I do not know of my own knowledge that your 4x4 motor mounts and perches will bolt into your 2WD '66; I have been told by others that they are different and will not work.
I used '77 460 perches, and they bolted right up to the '66 frame; the holes were pre-drilled in the correct locations from the factory.
For what it is worth, this is what I did:
From a '66 F-100 with 352, 3 speed column shift, my truck now has this, and it looks like it was made this way:
'86 460 (Edelbrock intake and carb)
'83 C-6 (bolted right up to the transmission crossmember.)
'88 serpentine belts
'86 upper and lower radiator hoses - had to cut the upper one short
'78 power steering pump (plastic body, wide mouth)
'77 460 7-blade fan blade
'77 motor mounts and perches
'76 power steering
'76 transmission linkage
'72 steering column
It still has the following original setups:
radiator (replaced in '94 with a new one, though, but it looks original)
accelerator linkage
speedometer linkage
alternator - with the serpentine pulley and fan blade
Hope this helps!

Listen to Banjopicker and stop asking so many other people.
I have done several of these conversions. BP & I talked before he did his. 385 series engines between 1968 & 1978 have the exact same engine block regardless of the CID displacement. Other blocks after that still use the same mounting system. Thus engine mount system is the same for each vehicle regardless of the engine displacement.
A 429 or 460 from 1968 thru the 90s will bolt into a 65 through 79 FoMoCo F Series chassis using the same OEM set up period.
All you have to watch out for is where your oil pan drain hole ends up. A F series has the drain in the rear of the sump whilc passenger cars drain from the side of the hump.
Didn;t I already explain this to you once ? ? ? ?
