i would like to see it sell for around $20,000. i am trying to get my f100 back to this my first show is in may. i will post some new pics soon in my gallerie
That's a sharp truck; you don't see too many 4X4 OEM around my neck of the woods; My question is that the true hood emblem for F250's for a 66 model or is that from 64 below style trucks. )I don't know); Also I would question the frame off to the last bolt detail; looks as if it was just a frame-off spray restoration by the looks of the leaf springs and bolts spray.
But again, that's one sharp truck though..
I never saw a gas guage. Amps, oil, speedo, but no gas guage. And while every bolt on the thing looks to be stainless, the frame looked like it was painted over the scale rust. Nice truck for sure, but not 14k worth.
That is the correct fender emblem for a 1966 F250 4x4. It looks like the 1963-1964 emblems, but the studs are changed to fit the same holes in the fender as all 1965-1966 trucks....that is two studs on top and one on the bottom. Same emblem for the 1965-1966 F350.
A number of things on this truck are not original like the steering wheel, it should be white for a custom cab or black for a non-custom cab, the shifters should be black and not red, the seat cover, the rear bumper, one visor is a different color, no dual exhaust on the 352 and no dash pad for the custom cab.
Probably some others, but who cares, it is a very nice truck.
well i need to watch what i say when i post my pics of the restore, don't have a day to try loading with dial up. you all have a good i , i wounder if the cab has the step in? it hard looking at it with the 66 grille, lot of time looking at my 65. and i love the bed (its taken time)
66beater, the gas gauge is hard to see, its on the outside of the speedo, just above the 30-40 mph section, and above the 60-79 mph section is the temperature gauge.

I noticed that on the spring also. You think it was just painted instead of sandblasting first?
You know "Who I'm I to mock" but for the price range of over 14K and not hitting the reserve is really up there; I would be expecting alittle more clean frame detail; especially removal of inner leafs etc. 48 F-2 I wouldn't think even sandblasting the leafs intact would make much difference than that what was shown in pic's. But again that's a sharp truck and would be very proud to have. But I guess I would hurt the PO's feeling it I purchase such I nice truck at that high of a price; and the PO stating originial etc.
Well I see it sold for $15,900; that's a tough truck and I hope the new owner is very happy; its hard for me to see someone sell there truck; but everything has a price I guess...
