If you have a visual emissions inspection, you won't pass without the PCV.
If you allow crankcase fumes to escape, we all get to breathe them, and return to the 70s when the pollution burned our eyes.
the PCV system is a good system to keep. It prevents the combustion byproducts from building up in the crankcase and causing moisture to mix with the acidic byproducts and forming sludge and deposits. Even old cars had a road draft tube to prevent such problems. a simple breather will not cut it.
anyone running a worn 300 that has blowby that overcomes the pcv so they had to add a road draft tube? And happened to notice the steel line coming from the fuel tank to charcoal canister was routed well and hooked a line from valve cover where it used to go into intake to this steel tube and ran a rubber hose from the tube at the frame near the right rear tire just off the ground to deal with the excessive blowby?
