The FIPK draws underhood air into the intake. Some people argue that the silly plastic divider they include these days "insulates" the FIPK from the hot air under the hood. Sorry, I'm not buying that line. The LAST thing you want to do is increase intake air temperature. Performance Unlimited still has their comparison article about the "actual" gains achieved with the drop-in filter OVER the FIPK I believe. Might want to check it out www.performanceunlimited.com. The FIPK just isn't worth the money if you ask me.

I just bought my 96 bronco and it runs great for having 173,000, but don't know if I should give it a tune up or not, although I did change the oil. I used the castrol synthetic blend, should I use a high milage oil? Also does anyone know if the underdrive pullies are worth the money? One more thing what is the hp and tq rating for the 5.8L in '96?
