Question Engine Upgrade

Eventually ill probably go through everything i want to do to my truck on this forum. but for todays lesson(for me)

In my 1965 F100 i have a 352 with three on the tree. i have done all the work possible without pulling the motor and it still wont start.(it has been sitting in a barn since 89 and our best guess is the rings are all frozen to the pistons)
Hence forth my plan is to pull the motor and rebuild it from top to bottem. i am not planning on swapping the transmission for now. i would like to bore this motor out. i am wondering what i need to change to make this a 428. and if i built as so would it be a wise decision toswap the tranny. i am building this as a driver with lots of comfort swaps. i have, however thrown the idea of good gas mileage out the window . i would appreciate any input about this. my other motor option is to build a 302. i only have the block for that motor but i am prepared to spend some money on this project.lol.once again any help is appreciated.

I think this is a question for the FE engine Forum. Tom

Tom, What do you think them air heads over there can tell him that we can't here???

The 428 is too much for most engines to be bored to, and you would be better served to find a 428 block engine and go from there.

Just replace it with a 390 and you will be very happy with the truck.
