Certain colors with certain trim packages
I'm looking at getting rid of my '03 Screw and getting a new one. I found two colors that I really like, but for some reason Ford choses to only have these colors available with certain trim levels. The one I like is ony with a King Ranch and the other one is avialable only with a Lariat, I only want a XLT (for money reasons). It confuses me, because if they can put it on one trim level why not another, I wonder if other manufactures do the same thing? Sorry I just needed to vent!

Are you sure about the Dark Stone and XLT? I just ordered an '06 XLT SCREW in Dark Stone with the tan interior.
Brian - I know how you feel. I liked the exclusive Lariat color too but not enough to make me want to shell out the difference.

Yeah I'm thinking the website isn't the most accurate place to look. According to the website you can't even get Dark Stone with a XLT, only a Lariat. The color I really like is called Smokestone, and according to the site only comes with the Lariat....anyone have that color on a XLT?

Yes, Smokestone is exclusive to a Lariat.
I have an '06 Lariat that is Smokestone over Arizona Beige.

follow up
I have an 06 F150, XLT and it's Darkstone with the Arizona beige trim. However, mine is the supercab, not the crew cab. I don't know if that makes a difference.

I wanted an xlt with bright red and either black or gray leather interior but leather isn't an option on an xlt bright red in a solid color is available on a lariat it's only available with the arizona beige at the bottom which I personally think look's like crap,i'm not a fan of two tone paint of any color so I ended up with a bright red xlt with grey interior it has the captain's chair's and console and look's nice but it's not the black leather that I wanted.

My recommendation do lots of research and and lots of shopping. I got my larry crew cab fully loaded for bout 27 sticker said just under 37
