Thumbs up Just ordered the "CANNON"

Just got off the phone with Mark. After reading about this 5" system I couldn't take it anymore so I ordered it with the 6" SS tip. For those of you wondering, mine was $455 to the door. Having said that, I did get it with the muffler. I"ve been running around with only my downpipe to where it would connect to the muffler (stock straight pipe so to speak) and it was a bit too much for me so I'm going to try it with the muffler. Thanks for the PMS guys .

All of you were right. I looked and looked. Was considering a MBRP system but Mark's price couldn't be beat and decent guy to talk to too.

Now, I'm not going to cut my OEM system up because I know somebody who wants it because his is trashed, (He doesn't have PMS). Question, can I get the system off w/out removing th xmission crossmember? I can do it but was wondering if anybody knows a shortcut.

I know how you feel, I also have an itch for an exhaust system. The hard part is I have to wait for my tax return. I'm also interested in getting the OEM system off in one piece. I just need to know if there's an easier way.

At least you're getting a return. I work a part time job for extra money and for some reason Uncle Sam thinks I need to pay about 25%. So though I take out 20%, I will be paynig again this year. That shot in the pills is not helping me with my PMS. Just had to have the exhaust though, couldn't see putting the stock muffler/tailpipe back on.

no, you cant feasibly remove the downpipe in one piecewithout removing the tranny cross member. an idea that just occured to me while reading this, (thats why im responding), is to take a sawzall and make a straight cut as far rearward as possible, still being able to remove the downpipe. get your buddy an Accu-seal clamp (one that is about 2'' wide) in 3.5" diameter, and just reconnect the downpipe when he installs it. it will also be easier for him to install.

Yes strokin-it73, that would work but it involves the sawzall. Was just wondering if anyone has gotten it out by jacking or manuevering something. I can take off the crossmember, just don't want to. Appreciate it though.

I had to take out my crossmember and jack the transmission up against the bottom of the cab in order to get my 4" downpipe to go in. They made it a touch too long to fit in there without doing so. I left some friendly feedback about that as well.
So you might as well just take it out. It's a three minute job with power tools.

had a question about the down pipe, what size is the stock downpipe on a 2000 7.3?
and can i up grade it, And who carries it? I already have a 4" exhaust with 5" tip Edge Juice module with an attitude monitor. I dont know if the down pipe has been changed out. would i gain anything?

I knew you would, brother. Congrats and welcome to the club. You'll appreciate the muffler. It's plenty loud enough and the turbo whistle is awesome.

Don't get me started. I'm supposed to be doing my in-tank, pre-pump and regulated return next weekend but I just couldn't pass up the immediate gratification of the exhaust so that's what I ordered instead. I will take care of those next, then work on my gauges etc. Champagne taste and a beer budget, hmmmm............. Didn't even think anything was wrong with my truck until I returned here after a 1 year haitus. Back to my "support group".

I appreciate it Geoff. I saw the truck in the snow in your gallery. Good lookin ride and worktruck. Don't miss those days in New England. Once or twice a year here. More than enough for me. Eventually I will put something in my gallery when I get off my lazy a$$.
