Camshaft position sensor location

Camshaft position sensor location
I need to change the CPS on my girlfriends 98' Ford F150 6 cyclinder truck. can some someone please tell me the location of the sensor....sorry Im a Chevy guy I assume it is behind the intake manifold on top of the block. I have not had a chance to look at the truck yet.

Hi and welcome to the forum 
Being a Chevy guy we'll forgive you for not knowing where it is
It's at the front of the engine. It's on top of what looks like a cut off distributor. It has one electrical connector and 2 screws. You may have to remove the heater pipe to access it. When you have it off make sure that the metal vane that the sensor gets it's trigger from isn't broken.
