My beloved 67's! Tell you what, register the 67 parts truck on my site in the RIP catagory, I'll start digging out the wiring colors.

I would love to get the info and go ahead and register the truck, but can a truck that has already been sent to parts heaven be registered on your site? If so, I will get the vin info and register it one day next week. I am going to have to find some wiring info, so I can get this 65 safety inspected next week. The turn signals, four ways, and horn are all that stands in my way. Except for getting the accelerator linkage fixed.

"Parts heaven", I assume, is a polite way to say crusher, right? I will apologize in advance for the off-topic digression I am about to engage in. I had originally intended the Registry project to document only viable trucks people were restoring or driving. I soon realized that not only should I document existing trucks, but I should track parts trucks or demised trucks, or trucks that people owned once upon a time and sold as well. All I need is the door tag data, or at the very least the VIN with a brief description of the truck and it's last known whereabouts. Wouldn't it be neat if you had a 67 you wish you had never sold and it turns up as someone's project truck being restored half-way around the world? I think so. :-)
I will scan the 67 turn signal wiring diagram and send it to you. Quite honestly, I find it a little complex to understand, but I think you will find it beneficial since you are retro fitting the 67 column to the 65.

This is the truck I just bought, if you haven't seen it. I just got back from a 2400 mile round trip just to pick it up. It's in really good shape, no rust, not wrecked, and very little bondo (only in holes the owner had filled. such as the rear wrap around bumper bolt holes, and a couple of mystery holes on the passenger side of the box about 2 inches apart.)

Yes, I had seen it as soon as you posted the details. Looks nice.

After all I'm 6'6" and I have to use a steering wheel that is no bigger than 13" in diameter? It's just a little small.

I am going to have to change the spacer under the carb out though, the lady at the inspection station is going to have kittens if she sees it like it is now. It has an egr spacer between the carb and intake. I can change that though. Right now I have more pressing matters at hand, mainly te aforementioned turn signals and horn. But the other thing is the accelerator linkage. I bought a setup off of the same 67, but nothing wants to work. Either the accelerator I have in the truck is wrong, or I don't have the right arms to work with the Holley 2300 2 barrel carb that is on top of the 390. I am leaning toward the latter. But I might have to end up going to get the corect accelerator that I need. I know I have to change out the shifter linkage. To put the truck into Drive, you have to put the shifter into 1st, but reverse & park are still in the same location. Hmmm, guess I'll figure this out one way or another.
It did get 14mpg coming home though, surprised me! The worst mileage was only 11mpg, I was told to expect around 8 or 9. But 14! Made my day!
