I pulled the drivers door panel off to check inside and I found a bit of history. I added a picture of the door panel to my gallery. It lists who restored it, when, and where. It even has a phone number! I blocked out the last name and nomber. I plan on giving them a call this week. It fills in many questions I had about the truck.

That's great. "Hurt it and I"ll hurt you" sounds like they really liked the old truck and had some pride and fun building it. I've hidden my name and number in a few places on my truck as it's gone together in case of any attempted thefts in the future. The one I like best is the cabinet shop that milled the bed wood wrote my name and number on the bottom of one of the boards. I was just about to sand it off when I tought better of it, and instead put clear urethane over it. Anyone tries to say it's not my truck I'll just have them kneal down and look on the bottom of the bed.

Let us know how the conversation goes. That should be interesting, hopefully the phone number hasn't changed
That is really cool! the only thing i found in my truck was 6 bucks in the seat and a whole lot of critter nests. I would definetly call the number, they would more then likely be just as excited as you are and probably appreciate the forgotten memories also or maybe....they will hunt you down and give you some of this..... just kidding !!!!!
i am defentianally going to do that to my truck if i ever sell the 1 of my trucks or ill do it if i keep it till i die. thats pretty coll that you found that. you know what be cooler if it had a date like like 1960 something
Thats awesome! I hide messages inside of any house I own, I engraved some stuff inside the cases of a couple of old motorcycles too. I think Ill start with trucks now.
That was really cool finding that in the door. I had a similar incident while doing my 57. I took the old headliner down to replace , and found a very old bag of "grass". Needless to say I disposed of it quickly (no i didnt). Roy(aka homey)
