got a motor from a friend and have no idea what it is.... free's a good price so how do you pass it up right? it's a FE that's been rebuilt, i know that much cause when i pulled the main caps they were .020 the only drawback is that i can't find the crank casting codee on it but someone (i'm assuming the previous machine shop) wrote 1F with a paint stick on the front counterweight of the crank... I'm gonna go with that as a code but what is it? i think its a 360 cause aren't 390's a T code on the crank? thanks for the help!!
that would be funny if it didn't hit close to home.. LMAO
looks like i need to scour the crank some more now that i got it out and on the bench... and i'm just too lazy to put it all back together for a measurement!!! LOL more to be posted soon...
I'd keep it around. With the way FE aftermarket stuff is going, someone at some point should make decent pistons for a 360 (Barry R, you reading this?) When they do, you should be able to build one heck of a 360!
