I am looking for photos of a 2150 series carb and how the throttle linkage is hooked up. I have looked all over in my manuals, but only see exploded views of the carb and not where the springs hook up to. Any help on this would be appreciated. This is a 351M in a 79 F100.
That is a great site. I am also looking at buying a 78 F100 Ranger with a 351W and a three on the tree. It is a really nice truck with 72,000 original miles for only $3500. Nice older gentleman my father knows has the truck and just can't drive it anymore. I love these trucks!!!! Thanks again.
1975 Ford-just wondered what you felt was your favorite engine? As a kid my dad had a 1965 originally w/292,swapped to 390. While it was a work and family vacation truck towing the boat and four kids in the back with supplies for a 2 week vacation I always remember it being a great truck when it came to uumph unlike my 79 400.have seriously considered putting a 390 with a c6.What do you think?

Of the trucks I currently own, I perfer the 390 cid. This 1975 F150 4x4 had a 4.9l (300 cid) and I swapped in the 390FE back in 1989. This truck came originally with points, manual steering, drums front and rear. I converted the the ignition system to Duraspark II. Swapped in a front axle, radius arms, and the quad shock setup of a 1978 Ford bronco. Swapped in a NP435 trans and NP 205 transfer case, Installed a 4 inch lift. Dropped in the blueprinted 390FE. The trucks has a short box off a 1979 Ford Truck with the side door for the gas. I like the 460 c.i.d. also, but I perfer the 390, the gas mileage a way bit better.
