what is up with the body/paint quality of chevy? is there a defect in it or is it just one of those things? my mom's tahoe has to many little chips and such on it for the miles(14,000). and they all start getting surface rust on them.
just as a comparison, my ford has 30,000 miles and no chips or nothing, my old 1995 f350 had 165,000 when i sold it, i off-roaded it and everything so there was some scraps and marks, but still it never showed any rust.
i don't get on any other forum sites to see about it, is my mom's tahoe possibly have a defect in it that needs to be checked out? or is it just the way things are?
my 2001 silverado had a few chips when i traded it in on my 03 superduty, the ford paint is actually way worse quality. open the hood, doors and gas cap door and you can still find places where the factory sealer (primer) is still showing through.
