Engine swap
If the truck is a 4x4 then you'll deffinately need a rear sump pan (not sure if its just a 2x4). Most (if not all) 300s after 1980 had rear sump pans in F100-F350s, with a 1976 I6 you'll need a pan with the dipstick that goes through the pan (not the block).
I THINK that the V6 uses same bellhousing as the 300/302/351W. Not totally sure though. If so, you'll just need a flexplate for the 300 (zero ballance), the V6 oor V8 one won't work.
I think thats about it. I'm running a '79 300 (same block) in my '84 & it wasn't a bad swap, just make sure you've got the engine set up right first & then things go much easier.
