Instead of all this swapping parts and stuff why not, If the frame is good, swap your 93 body onto the 94 chasis. That would solve a lot of questions. Just a thought. It should not be that difficult a couple of buddies and a cool beverage and I would guess you could probly have it done in a weekend.

I think 93 was the pivotal year for F-series 302's (as far as mass air and speed density go).

Thanks for clearing that up Matt. So in 1996 the 351/E4OD's finally got MAF correct?

yes the donner truck has the light and the little button on the end of the shifter. so if the donner truck has the aluminum air meter housing mounted to it then it is a stock MAF meter right?

and im not going to swap bodies because the doner truck is rusted up pretty bad and i dont belive the frame is in all that good of shape but the next time i have a chance i will check it out and maybe reconsider that. thanks.

and a couple buddys of mine have 95 96 f150s with the e4od and MAF on them

What engines do your buddies trucks have? I believe 96 was the first year for a 351 MAF with the E4OD. Matt clarified that most 302's got MAF in 93.

they both have 302s but the manufacture date on my truck is december of 92 that makes it a 93 model right? so because of it being a early 93 model truck that might explain why it doesnt have to MAF but i dont know if they did a change like that in the middle of the year

This is true, however, I believe it was just the F-250's and up. I think it was a year or two before the superduty pickups changed body styles. I haven't seen an F-150 5.8 equiped with mass air, but like yourself, that doesn't mean they don't exist.

It's possible. Just look at the air box and see if it has an aluminum air meter housing attaced to it. The only mass air conversion kit Ford made for an E4OD was for the GEN 1 Lightnings. Those kits consist of an 80mm air meter, 30lb (red top) injectors and a PCM with an AKC0 calibration code.

My friend has a 96 shortbed with a 351 and MAF. Its had a Centurion conversion done, although we dont know what all was done with the conversion. I have a 95 with a 351, and no MAF. Who knows though. We need a chart! lol.

hey i jus thought i would let u guys kno that im bout to close the deal on the doner truck for this project. But before i hand over the cash i want to make sure it will work. So far you guys say it will but my dad asked me about the injecters and if they are differnt on my truck compared to the 94. And can anyone see or know of anything else (involving the harness and that sort of stuff ) that i will have to take off the 94 to make the ecu work on the 93? thanks for the help. Also did 4 wheel abs come on any of the 94 f 150s? Reason that i ask is i noticed a sensor on the master cyilinder on the 94 truck that is not on my 93 an the 93 only has 2 wheel abs so i was thinking that the 94 had 4 wheel abs.
