For anyone that has never painted a fairly elaborate cage, the title says it all!! I would recommend you have a second person present for a second set of eyes to spot places you will undoubtedly miss. Just finished rolling the chassis/cage back into the shop for final assembly and then run electricals and fluid lines,, hope to have it going by the end of the month. I will try to post pics when it is done, after all, you will need to recognize it for next years TTC!!
I personally would hate to paint a cage/tube chasis vehicle. Nothing worse than tryin to cover a round surface with paint, especially without really really really good lighting, and an extra set of eyes.
And like I said before, this thread is worthless without pics (insert pirate flip-off dude here).
if you can see that you missed a place with the paint you ain't wheelin it hard enough.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm824BXUS' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_11.gif' alt='Thumbs Up' border=0></a>
In order to get pictures posted, it's a time consuming PITA forme, because all of my computer stuff is other family members "obsolete" stuff, so it doesnt all readily match up, depending on what you are trying to accomplish. (I'm still running Windows 95!!) I will get started on the tedious process of pics, but by the time they are up, the rig will most likely be running-- untill then you could just look at the pic in my gallery and as SpongeBob would say- "use your imaagiiinaation" to see it in orange. By the way, how do you post up pics in the threads on this board??
you have to host them somewhere else first. I recommend superford, that way you can link to it on here and on other sites as well. then once its up on there you open up hte picture by itself and right click on the picture, click on properties, the copy the web address that appears. it will have .jpg on hte end of it, unlike the web address that will be at the top of the page NOT under properties. then you make a post here, click on "insert image" (little yellow box with a mountain or something on it) and paste it. ta-da.
