94 flareside tranny problem
I posted this in the tranny forum on 3-4 and haven't got a reply so i'll try here.
Last fall I put a Jasper remanufactured 5.0 in my 94 F150 due to a thrown rod. During the swap I put on a throttle body spacer and a set of shorty headers that bolt to the Y-pipe. I drove the truck about 500mi since the swap and now the tranny will not grip when I floor it. It seems fine when babied but if i punch it all the engine does is rev up. Does this sound like the front cluch is shot or is there hope for an easy fix. I was going to swap everything when I had the engine out but didn't due to lack of funds. Now I'm regreating my descision.
