Smile rear main seal

I have a 93 f150 with a 302/e4od/4.10's ls with 160,000miles. this has been my only vehicle and i wouldn't trade it for anything. the rear main has had a slow leak since i bought the truck in 2000. just wondering how much a repair shop should charge for labor and parts? i have a really good and honest guy that works on my truck.

I had mine done 3 or 4 years ago and it cost me about $400 bones. Could be more or less for you depending.

Its a lot easier to replace then the 2 piece seal, but still going to be expensive because the trany has to be dropped. I think $400 is actually a pretty good deal.
Are you able to drop teh tranny yourself? Its a pretty easy and basic job, just involves a little heavy lifting.

A stuck/clogged PCV will cause a minor leak. Usually in rear main.
