Backfire over half throttle
I have a 64 f100 with 292. Reds headers, holley 600 with vacume secondaries, pertonix ignitor and coil. New plugs, wires, cap and rotor. I've been running this set up for a few months.
Today I was driving and it started backfireing everytime i'd go over about half throttle. It was popping really loud and Felt like the ignition was cutting out. I'm pretty sure it was on the left bank because I have dual side exit exhaust and could here it from my side of the truck.
Any Ideas?

I had the pertonix ignitor do that to me. You can try and put the points back in and see if it goes away. When I called pertonix they told me to remove the resister but by that point I didn't trust it any more and never tried it.
