I figured I'll share if any one cares or for reference. I was a tad dissapointed, but given the conditions I should still be happy. I just pulled the truck out from sitting all winter and didn't really tune. I just threw jets and a power valve in that I thought should be in there from last season runs. It ran a tad rich and while running I let it get too hot (~205 degrees).
Anyways it did 260whp and 440wtq. I need my C4AE-Gs done and I'm starting to think about a C4 trans. Damn the C6 took alot. Ha. Oh well.
Whats done:
C8Ae heads, alittle porting and bowl work, stock valves
ported streetmaster with 750dp
2" primary headers with 3.5" collectors, not equal lenght
Comp 282S cam.
oh and 9.5:1 hyper pistons
Trans:
Fairly loose convertor, kolene steels and alto red fibers, mild shift kit
E4OD 4 pinion planets,
Billet Servo piston +oiling mods and misc work
Maybe a good tune and I'll be ~310whp, but oh well not bad for a 390 eh?
On the pistons, I don't remember to much. I built the motor almost 6 years ago now. I think they are Sterlings or silv-o lites. Head gaskets are just the run of the mil Fel-pros. No pinging on 91 octane. I should of played more with timing, but I didn't.
I do like the c6 esp for what I have done and the abuse it took. Its just anymore the truck is becoming more of a drag/bracket racer and it really doesn't bother me to go through a C4 every season.
Well, you shouldn't be too dissapointed. Somehow you're 390 put down more torque than my stroked 428. Sometimes, I wonder about this dyno machines???? see my gallery for an older, but decent dyno graph.
Back in college we had a newer dynojet chassis dyno, everyvehicle pulled about twice the torque it should have. A mild 302 had like 600ftlbs. Its obvious the dyno was not calibatred or whatever. The saying, the dyno never lies, is bs. Gearing is torque mulitplication and will give different results from the same motor.

I don't know when, but the dyno was up to calibration. I wiegh in at 3950lbs and in the 1/4 I run 13.5's, consistent, at 98-99 mph. No nitrous or other power adders. The mile an hour is deff. showing where I have a lack of top end. I have 4.11's and 29x9 slicks. And usually a 1.97-2.0 60ft.

Very impressive. I'm still running 2.2ish 60 ft times. I have yet to do a burnout to warm up my ET Street Drag tires. My best was a 13.53 at 104.65 mph. That's with a 100hp shot of NOS, but on a 4600lb truck 3/4 truck. I'm running 28" tires and 4.11 gears. I'm also running a near stock stall TCI Saturday Night Special Torque Converter. I still wanted to use my truck as a truck.
I may get another dyno here soon, now that it seems to be running strong.
Before this truck it was in my '67 3/4 ton. I was wieghing in at 4700 with me in it at race wieght. No posi just a decent set of street tires and a bone stock c6. I was running 15.0-15.2's. It wasn't all that consistent so I made the change to my '59 to get lighter and well use it less as a truck and more as a fun/play truck.
The motor when in the 3/4 was different. I had a 750vac and a S code intake and ****ty Mc'crap headman truck headers.
Oh well. Get your truck running better Gtex. There should be alot better times in that truck. It will be a decent example of a stroker.
