Multiple Symtoms

I purchased a 92 F150 2wd for my daughter 2 months ago. Yesterday, she had the following issues: (1) took longer than usual to start (turned over for about 20 seconds - this has happended a few other times this past week.
(2) after getting it cranked yesterday, both the brake light and ABS light came on and stayed on until she got home. (3) She also said the the blinker would not work (i.e. no blinker light symbol on the right, or left side of the dash). (4) and finally, she said it shifted much rougher than usual at low speeds.

After I arrived home from work, I went outside to check on it and it started fine and I saw none of the symtoms mentioned above. I didn't have time to drive, but it cranked, & sounded fine.

By the way, the check engine light was never on during these issues.

Any ideas? I'm guessing either a computer problem, or some type of electrical issues, but I have no idea where to start. Thanks in advance for your help.

From: Dark side of the sun.
Replace the fuel filter, that might help with the cranking.

The ABS light and E-Brake light on my '89 is caused by the rear wheels being covered in brake dust. I have RABS though, but this might work for you: Remove the rear wheels and carefuly clean the brake area out. Wear a resperator (sp?) while you do this so you don't breathe in any brake dust.

Any other suggestions? I think those ideas are good, but I'm thinking there's a bigger problem.

The sensor on the top of the rear end is associated with speedometer and ABS. That could cause the idiot lights to come on as well as the poor shifting. The long start time could be a number of things, but most likely is a fuel filter or maybe a dirty or shot IAC valve. This is located on the throttle body. If this hasn't already been done I would go ahead and give the truck a tune up. Air filter, fuel filter, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, etc. I had a extended crank time problem on mine and it ended up being the injectors. I never knew which ones so I replaced them all with Ford Racing injectors from Summit. Much cheaper then the dealer or auto parts store.
