Gcwr

Hello to all..Is there a way to tell what my 1999 F250's GCWR is? The sticker on the door frame only lists the GVWR which is 8800#. Thanks in advance for any help.

check your owners manual. Depending on your configuration the # may vary. My 06 is 20,000 lbs. the 1999 is probably a little less.

20,000 lbs with fifth wheel type hitch. max conventional/class IV trailer weight is 10,000 lbs. thats for a diesel. if your truck is not a diesel than we need to know what engine, axle grears and trans you have

'99 SD's gcwr was 18000 lbd, 250 or 350. They moved to 20000 in '00, and 23000 in '05. That's why I sold my '99 F250 and bouth an '05 F350.

that could be, i took the numbers out of my 2001 manual. i didnt think they changed any of the ratings from 99-04. i know in '05 they went up.
