Check the vacuum hoses also, does your horn and RABS work?

It would be the Airbag light, not RABS. Common issue with Aero's is the Clockspring wearing out.

I would also check to see if the cable is still connected to the throttle body. Mine had fallen off and all I needed to do was lube it and it was good to go.

Count the flashes and bring the code here (it will be two digits like 53).

I guess i should make my self clear, i get air bag light when i start the engine then it goes off. When i unplug wiring at the unit i have 3 wires hot 12 volts. When i hit the on button, nothing changes 3 wires hot. I would think i would now have a 4th wire hot? If this is true can i just add a second on button 12 volts to activate system? And if so what wire would i use?

Code 54 and 53 on the Airbag? If you get those codes for the Airbag, the Airbag light would be flashing incessantly at you. But in your post you said the light went on when you start the car, then went off after a while, and that's the way it's supposed to be. Nothing is wrong with the Airbag, if that's the case.

I'm confused now.

I was ask if the horn was working, and did i have RABS light ask by Lance1601.Then 93 nighthawk corected lance 1601 saying it would be airbag light.

What i have is the horn workes, all the warning lights work in the dash i don't have any cruse control. I have checked all fuses, ok. I have puled the plug apart at the unit under the hood and i have 3 wires hot with the key on, when i push the on button i was thinking thet i would see a 4th wire activated ?
I also get a check engine light on, so i went to autozone, they told me that i have code 53, and code54. they couldn't tell me what those codes were. I was hoping someone could help??
I also ask if i could just add a push on button on the dash to activate crese if this clockspring is bad? And if so what wire would i use??

THANKS IN ADVANCE OLDMANBERGIE sory if i confused everyone

Do your brake lights work on the back of the van? If they don't al work the cruise won't work.

pin 5 light blue/black wire on '96 Aero cruise control amplifier, the box in passenger side panel ... look for failure in fuse 12 30a, fuse 6 20a, steering wheel cruise ON switch, clock spring which has 2 leads for cruise- Activate and Ground, brake lights circuit, Speed Controt unit PSOM unit, BOO Brake On Off switch, servo control module and vaccum into servo control module, cable linkage to throttle body ....
suggest the Ford service manual EVTM to troubleshoot, complex system

Yes both rear brake lights are working. Am i led to believe by 96-4wdr that there is a fuse panel on / or in the passenger side of the van? Or should i be looking under the hood?? I checked all the fuses in fuse box driver side unded dash all ok.

check fuse 12 and fuse 6 in under dash fuse panel with a volt meter...

the steering wheel cruise control ON switch feeds to pin 5 light blue/black wire on the cruise/speed control amplifier which is the box located in the passenger side panel.

Checked fuse #6, and #12 both good, but replaced both with new. Checked light blue/black wire at amplifier hot, untill off button pushed. pushed on button wire stayed hot.

There is nothing to apologize for. I just want to clarify things. If you have a "check engine" light on, and you have a '93, you should have 3-digit codes such as 112, 113 etc... not the 2-digit codes you posted. Anyway, we're getting sidetracked here. Even though you need to have the codes taken care of right away, they won't affect your cruise control.
