The part that bugs me is that I know if I sat down and decided to become filthy stinking rich - I know there is a way to do that.
I just don't have that info...
You are right. Most people are not willing to pay the price required for riches.... that includes taking risks. Many years ago I received a call ( I was in Florida) from a friend who asked me to fly to LA to see him about a job. I told him I wasn't interested but he offered a free weekend just to hear him out. He gave me a tour of the plant and offered the job again, which I declined. He then told me he was going to start a new company and wanted to get a core group of people for the start-up and that was why he wanted me in California. I declined again and flew back home to my safe, secure job. About three years later, I was in the Little Rock Ark. airport and was surprised when he sat down beside me. It seems that he was on his way back to the farm he had retired to (at age 44) after selling his successful business to a large firm. He told me that his original group had made a killing from their stock. I learned the hard way that avoiding risk is not the way to riches. I have been broke several times since then and have found it is not fatal. I have won some, lost some, but found that it is a lot more fun being in the game than sitting on the safe, warm bench.

Exactly!! When opportunity knocks we need to smart enough to open the door.. I think I may have been sleeping the last time he knocked.
It's interesting that 7 of the ten are self made and that includes 3 drop outs. So by my calculations, 70% of the population stands a very good chance of becoming filthy rich and 33% of the population will become filthy rich after dropping out of school. So if we add 70% plus the 33% we'll get 103%. uuuhhhmmm... yep. Sooner or later we're all going to be rollin' in the big bucks
