i am doing to put a 460 in to a 77 ford f-250 crewcab 4x4 with a 4 speed trans what will i have to do and is their any way so that i do not have to but specal motor mounts and i also would like to use fenderwell exit headers saving as much money but still having good quality.
If you do need motor mounts look into L&L Products. They make all kinds of swap kits and parts. They have good headers too. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for.
77 was the year highboys changed...so we need to know if it's a highboy or not. If not, then 460 mounts can be made from 390 mounts by flipping them upside down and drilling the extra hole...but I do not recommend this. if it is, then you'll need to swap frame mounts.
well then, L&L is probably yer best bet. they have fenderwell exit headers, and your current setup is the least expensive kit they offer. not that it's cheap.
