Feed-back on a 2001 Explorer

I 'm thinking about buying a 2001 Explorer, Eddie Bauer, V-8, AWD.

Please give me some feed-back on the positives and negatives.

Good power and torque. Last year of generation 2 so prices are relatively low and most of the bugs were taken care of. Transmission in V8s are pretty bullet-proof. Good tow vehicle. Not too many negatives. Look through the forum and you can get feel for some of the more common problems with the gen 2 Explorers that mostly come on with age. I have a '99 V8 AWD and only problem has been the rear wiper (a common problem).
